You
have to attend Destiny, the only officially recognised Sport Martial
Arts Tournament in South Africa to be able to stand a chance of being selected
to the various National Squads and finally the National Team. You and your
Dojo also need to be a fully affiliated member to NMA/ISKA and SASMA in order
to qualify for selections. If you are not currently a member you will need to
affiliate immediately by contacting NMA Head Office at 021 559 5425.
Individual members need to pay a yearly affiliation fee of R70 p/member p/Dojo
and the Dojo itself needs to register with SASMA direct. Both the Individual
and Dojo registration documents can be found on this page.
If you
have placed 1st to 4th at Destiny, you qualify for the SA Squad. NMA/ISKA will
be selecting the final team from the squad. For you to be eligible for
selections, you HAVE TO REGISTER BY THE 20th OF SEPTEMBER 2009.
This registration is for all selected fighters to attend the 2010 ISKA World
Championships to be held in July in Orlando, Florida USA. Anyone not
registered by the 20th of September will not qualify thereafter. Spectators,
Supporters and Family who wish to accompany the team must also register by set
deadline. (If 4 members of the family are going, then all four have to
register individually) All parties must travel through the official tour
schedule. No one will be allowed to travel via own arrangements and “meet” at
the venue! This includes family and supporters. If you placed at Destiny but
do not see your name on the lists, you may contact Shihan Phil Anderson at
084 5090 169 to report the fault.
In
order to register for the Tour you need to follow the registration process by
selecting the “Tour register” icon at the bottom of this page. Please read
through the information carefully and complete the registration ASAP.
Once
you have registered, we will email you with confirmation of registration and
issue you with your own unique code which will allow you access to all Tour
updates, Schedules, Itinerary and important travel information. Again, we urge
you to check for updates regularly and press F5 to refresh the page each time.
It is your responsibility to obtain the information from the website once we
have published it.
NB: If
you do not have a valid Passport, get one immediately! If you do not have a
current USA Visa, you need to contact your closest Embassy as to enquire to
the procedure which is complicated.
Do not
delay Registration. If you came 1st in your division and can’t go,
the 2nd place person will be considered for the Official Team
should they qualify. The 20th of September is deadline for all
registration of all members including family, friends and supporters who wish
to travel with the tour. Supporters will be able to order Official Supporter
Tracksuits, T-Shirts and Tog bags.
